There is a big push going on at my company to virtualize resources wherever it makes sense. Some of my lightweight SQL instances may be good candidates for this. If I virtualize them, will I still be able to use SQL Sentry to monitor them and will I be able to depend on the accuracy of the information reported to me by SQL Sentry?
I realize that performance counters in a virtual environment do not necessarily reflect what is really going on in the environment. How does SQL Sentry deal with that?
Also, what changes are being made to SQL Sentry to accommodate Microsoft's push to use Extended Events in monitoring SQL Server?
